Arrival at Marrakech airport, where you will be transferred to your accommodation. In the afternoon, free time to discover the famous Jemaa el Fna square, located near your hotel. This square is the heart of Marrakech, filled with vendors, traditional souks, street performers, snake charmers, henna artists, and culinary specialties waiting for visitors. In the evening, we will provide restaurant recommendations to try the local cuisine, if you wish.

After breakfast, departure to the coastal city of Essaouira. Upon arrival, you can explore the pier and the beach, as well as stroll through the city’s narrow and picturesque streets. Essaouira, a fishing town, is famous for its fresh fish; it is well worth tasting the dishes offered by the local restaurants. The city’s unique historical atmosphere attracted hippies in the 1960s and 70s, among them Jimi Hendrix, whose legendary visit helped make the city famous. Overnight in Essaouira.

Breakfast at the hotel. Journey to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you will enjoy rich historical and cultural experiences: • The Hassan Tower, an impressive remnant of a 12th-century mosque. • The Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where members of Morocco’s modern royal family are laid to rest. • The picturesque Kasbah des Oudaias, a fortress offering spectacular views of the ocean and Rabat’s coastline. • The ancient ruins of Chellah, surrounded by a peaceful flower-filled garden.

After breakfast, departure from Rabat towards Meknes. In Meknes you will visit some of its main monuments, such as: • The Dar el Makhzen royal palace (only viewable from the outside). • The Bab Mansour gate. • The medina and the souk (market). Lunch in the city before continuing the journey. Afterwards, departure to Fez, where you will spend the night.

Breakfast at the hotel. With a local guide you will visit the city’s highlights: • The old medina (Fez el-Bali), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest pedestrian medina in the world, where time seems to have stood still. • The Chouara Tanneries, traditional leather workshops where you can witness the tanning process up close. • A local herbalist shop, where you will be introduced to special Moroccan products. After the guided tour, free time.

Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure to Marrakech, with a stop in Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, located on the Atlantic coast. It is the only mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslims (except during prayer times and religious holidays). Note: Visiting the interior is only possible through an official guided tour organized by the mosque administration. Individual entry is not permitted. Tours are not available during prayer or when the king is in the city. Arrival in Marrakech. Take advantage of the day to stroll once more through the city’s streets, shop in the bazaars, or revisit your favorite spots in the medina.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards the mountains. The journey crosses the High Atlas Mountains, with rocky landscapes, spectacular views, and mountain villages. You will cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, Morocco’s highest road pass (2,260 m), which connects Marrakech with Ouarzazate and the south. Brief stop at the fortified ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its adobe architecture and for once being an important strategic point on caravan routes between Marrakech and Timbuktu. Today, it has been used as a filming location for movies and series such as: • The Jewel of the Nile • Gladiator • Jesus of Nazareth • Lawrence of Arabia • The Mummy • Game of Thrones Possibility of lunch in a local restaurant during the trip. Return to Marrakech.
